Bear Sleuth Opinion Piece: Marvel’s All-New All-Different, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Marvel’s All-New All-Different line up has been all over the place with some books lining up to be modern classics and others looking to run out of steam before their second issue. As the majority of the line-up has now hit shelves, and I don’t want to write an incredibly long article today because it’s hand in week at university, I think it’s about time I did a top five list of the good, bad and ugly issues of the All-New All-Different line up.

The Good:

  1. Invincible Ironman- Once again Bendis is rocking it on a Marvel comics series and, with the fantastic artwork to back it up, this series is making the top of my pick list every time it hits the shelves.
  2. Extraordinary X-Men- Still Hated. Still Feared. Still Standing. Need I say more?
  3. Vison- To me this feels like an Image book instead of a Marvel one. It’s big bold and different. Definitely worth your time.
  4. Karnak- You will see as we go on that I’m not a huge fan of the Inhumans but Karnak rocks. The book had such a sense of style and presence that even now I cannot wait for issue two.
  5. Daredevil-Brilliant series harkening back to the origins of the comic book genre.

The Bad:

  1. Web Warriors- This is just proof that everything Dan Slott is responsible for creating sucks.
  2. Uncanny Inhumans-Wannabe X-Men clones.
  3. The New Avengers-There was a time that this series used to mean something.
  4. Ant-Man-I seriously doubt we would have gotten this series if the Ant-Man film had sucked.
  5. Guardians of Infinity-When’s Thanos going to show?

The Ugly (The quirky):

  1. Howard The Duck- Makes me sick.
  2. Squirrel Girl- Oh god she brings her Mum along on missions.
  3. Patsy Walker-Did you know she was in a Netflix series. Go watch the Netflix series. Netflix, Netflix, NETFLIX.
  4. Ms Marvel- If you like this sort of thing read this one.
  5. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur- I hate this title.

This is my Good, Bad and Ugly list. What is yours? Drop me a message in the comments section and we can compare.
