A couple of weeks ago Marvel unveiled this promo card to retailers all over the world. It doesn’t take much insight to recognise that this is a clue to Civil War II which, while it feels like a cash cow, is certain to be a smash hit in the world of comics. After a long hiatus I decided there was no better way to bring back BearSleuth Contest than by asking what you guys out in the world of Facebook and Twitter thought the upcoming Civil War II would be fought over. After receiving tonnes of submissions I came up with two great entries, but what will the Sleuth’s Opinion be?

BearSleuth Contest Winner: Sam Lucas

New Cpt. USA (Falcon) goes too far when he becomes a socialist and starts caring about the people and trying to sort out America’s problems before the international issues. Steve doesn’t like this so he sets his Uncanny Avengers and Shield on him.

Everyone else joins in.

BearSleuth Runner Up: Ivy Miller

Tony will say Twilight is better than Harry Potter and Steve will smash his suit.

The Sleuth’s opinion

To a degree I agree with Sam Lucas that the war will be fought between Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers but I think it will be fought over the existence of shield, as Brian Michael Bendis first suggested to the original civil war series. This has already been suggested in All-New All-Different Captain America Issue One as Captain America and S.H.E.I.L.D.’s relationship has devolved to the point where they are no longer funding him. This tension will most likely build over the coming issues into a battle between S.H.E.I.L.D. lead by Steve Rogers and Tony Stark against Sam Wilson’s Captain America. I’m not sure which side I will be one this time but I cannot wait for the debate!
